Flyback

This is one for me to go to my list (on the right side of the blog) of projects to follow. It's coming very, very good and being a "Google Summer of Code" project I think it will have a nice development ahead. It's already a excellent tool to make backups (a feature people often ignore, until some disaster comes along...). It's very much like Apple's Time Machine in the manner of work. Just great!

Simplesmente genial!

This one is Portuguese only because it has to do with a portuguse project to give a dedicated open source operating system for the Portuguese schools. You can always do the translation yourself. Or chek the project site.

Assim aqui fica a divulgação do projecto.

Dell XPS M1330 with Ubuntu pre-installed / Ubuntu pré-instalado no Dell XPS M1330

Unfortunately only in Germany (for now at least) but it's so good to see major vendor support Linux by default. That is the main reason Windows has the market share it has... Check it out here.

I think this one is interesting for Portuguese language speaking persons, but fell free to check it out. It's a Linux magazine, free, in a downloadable PDF.
