More EeePC competition / Mais concorrência para o EeePC

Again, another announcement for competition for the EeePC. This time around it's the Medion Akoya E1210. And it look pretty good. It will have a sub 400€ price (I only imagine 399€), an ATOM processor, 10inch display, 1 GB of RAM and an undisclosed 1.8inch HDD, 2 USB and Ethernet port. Look's pretty, pretty good! Novamente, mais um anuncio de competição para o EeePC. Desta vez é a Medion com o Akoya E1210. E até parece ser muito bom. Vai ter um preço abaixo dos 400€ (só penso em 399€), um processador ATOM, ecran de 10 polegadas, 1 GB de RAM e uma ainda não anunciada capacidade de disco de 1.8 polegadas, 2 portas USB e porta Ethernet. Parece muito, muito bom. Vão ver aqui (aviso, está em Francês).

Asus EeePC with 10 inches / Asus EeePC com 10 polegadas

Asus CEO said that later this year the EeePC will have a 10 inch display and that it will be the max display size for the EeePC line since 12 inches are out of the EeePC specs and enter the mainstream notebook/laptop market. More details over at PCWorld.

O CEO da Asus disse que mais para o fim do ano o EeePC vai ter um ecran de 10 polegadas e que será o tamanho máximo para a linha EeePC pois eles consideram que 12 polegadas já entra no chamado mercado de consumo normal para um notebook/laptop. Mais detalhes no site da PCWorld.

MSI officially gave some more specs. Now it's 80Gb 2.5inch hard-drive, 8.9 and 10 inches LED backlight. But, for some reason, right now it's Windows XP only!??! Well, that doesn't mean we can't take that all out of the 80Gb and put our distro of choice, right? :)

A MSI já deu mais umas especificações oficiais. Agora sabemos que terá 80Gb de disco de 2.5 polegadas, 8.9 e 10 polegadas de ecran com LED backlight. Mas, por alguma razão, por agora anuncia ser só com Windows XP!??! Bom, mas isso não invalida que limpemos os 80Gb e instalemos a distribuição que gostamos, certo? :)
